Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering Disney's entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and managing a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also manages technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Job Summary: There are three technology capability categories that DE&E Technology enables for the Company: Direct-to-Consumer Digital Products, Advertising Platforms and Content Distribution. The Business Relationship Management (BRM) team that sits within the Content Platforms & Operations organization within DE&E Tech is focused on aligning and enabling business stakeholders with Content Distribution needs of Technology. Within this footprint, as company strategies continue to increase in volume and focus against the Streaming ecosystem, we have formalized engagement with other functional partners that bridge the Content Distribution and the Direct-to-Consumer footprint – this includes D+ Programming and Scheduling, Hulu Programming, Streaming Operations, Streaming Finance, among others.
The BRM charter is to understand current and future business strategies and leverage that expertise to perform business intake, prioritization, and business case development efforts. Through these efforts we drive technical roadmap prioritization, optimizing Technology investment across the company.
The Senior Product Manager role will focus on visualizing business processes, translating business requirements into technical specs/ requirements, and supporting the business case development. They will be responsible for intake and prioritization for the Disney Entertainment Streaming portfolio and ensuring business objectives are understood and strategically addressed in collaboration with Operations, Product, Engineering and Project Management teams.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop technology roadmaps, define business processes, and associated system requirements supporting content supply chain functions
Drive workflow documentation initiatives by identifying and defining process gaps to drive opportunities for process improvement
Develop an understanding of content supply chain, including customer needs, pain points, business priorities, and technical environments
Drive investigation of customer journey challenges to enhance supply chain processes and focus on continuous improvement
Develop and maintain relationships with clients & stakeholders across all lines of business
Support with defining a structured approach for building and managing relationships between clients and DE&E Technology teams globally
Support with stakeholder business planning and technology strategy meetings
Support strategic planning sessions with clients to improve business processes
Lead ROI analysis and define business cases
Drive change management efforts to maximize stakeholder adoption
Leverage understanding of business to identify options, risks, cost vs. benefits and impacts on stakeholders
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to collect and translate business requirements into actionable technical delivery requirements
Develop and deliver progress update narratives and materials in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Project Management teams for executive audiences and stakeholders
Support with prioritization of tech initiatives in service of client business requirements.
Support framework definition for client intake of technology requests, aligning early-stage ideas with key priorities across DE&E Technology and Disney business partners
Maintain and enhance cross-functional reports, data taxonomy, and client dashboards within Airtable environment
Evaluate early-stage technology ideas for prioritization and facilitate strategic alignment
Support connected reporting and project tracking throughout product development, creating consistent understanding across product, engineering, and program management
Promote data-driven culture within Content Platforms & Operations, improving the velocity of decision-making and prioritization against technology goals
Understand Disney's internal products, tools, and technology development processes
Basic Qualifications: BA/BS or equivalent experience
A minimum of 7-years of internal/external technology experience, leading large, complex projects in business/technology consulting/management roles.
Experience in Media and Entertainment or data analytics, visualization, or a related field.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical partners and ability to drive consensus among stakeholders with conflicting needs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including developing and delivering presentations across a wide range of audiences.
Strong influence and negotiation skills.
Strong understanding of how to leverage technology to create innovative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications: MBA or Masters in related technical field preferred.
A minimum of 3-years consulting experience.
Prior work experience in product management and/or system implementation.
Knowledge of or experience in media & entertainment industry.
Understanding of content supply chain workflows.
Knowledge/experience directly with stakeholders across Disney.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank & Santa Monica, CA is $149,300 - $200,200 per year; in New York, NY & Seattle, WA is $156,300 - $209,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
