Our client is seeking a Senior Project Controls Analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting their Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) initiative. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of advancing utility resilience, reducing wildfire risks, and ensuring the success of critical infrastructure projects.
As a Senior Project Controls Analyst, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers to develop and manage project schedules, cash flow, and forecasts. Youll analyze data to ensure projects are on track, adjusting plans as needed, and communicating key milestones and risks to stakeholders. This hybrid position offers flexibility while providing impactful contributions to our clients ongoing efforts.
Key Responsibilities - Senior Project Controls Analyst: Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, ensuring objectives align with cost and resource planning. Provide detailed financial and project performance reports, including variance analysis, to monitor cost, schedule, and overall progress. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align forecasts and budgets, using tools like SAP and Primavera P6. Actively track and communicate project milestones, risks, and deliverables, ensuring timely updates to all stakeholders. Support financial analysis by preparing journal entries, tracking budget approvals, and processing goods receipts. Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal guidelines, documenting key changes and approvals. Participate in project meetings, collect progress data, and refine schedules as needed to meet evolving project needs. Lead or support process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing project management practices. What You Bring - Senior Project Controls Analyst: A bachelors degree or equivalent experience, with 3-5 years of experience in project controls, preferably within the utility industry. Strong expertise in budgeting and project controls using SAP, with proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6. A self-starter mindset with the ability to hit the ground running, managing multiple priorities with strong organizational and documentation skills. Experience collaborating across departments to ensure effective communication and project alignment. Preferred Qualifications - Senior Project Controls Analyst: Knowledge of financial management tools such as SAP Work Management, BPC, BW, and MS Excel. Experience in project or construction management, including risk management and earned value analysis. Advanced skills in analyzing project data and translating insights into actionable strategies. Certifications such as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
