Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) Contract Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range: $90 - $105/hr
Location: San Ramon, CA
Job Type: Hybrid, Onsite as needed (twice travel: 2 trips to OGO )

Job Description:

Join our team and contribute to the Department of Energy's Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) initiative. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in reducing wildfire risk by leveraging innovation and data for utility resiliency.

Key Responsibilities: Grant Management: Establish and oversee processes for managing and tracking grant funding for GRIP and other initiatives. Project Management: Manage project scope, schedule, and cost, including budget tracking, grant submission, and invoice reimbursement. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams to develop standardized documentation processes aligned with best practices. Project Coordination: Coordinate project meetings, track critical actions, and ensure project documentation is maintained. Financial Oversight: Develop and monitor project cash flow, financial forecasts, and budgets. Risk Management: Assess project risks, formulate mitigation plans, and adjust project scope as needed. Partner Coordination: Collaborate with partner organizations, align on roles and responsibilities, and maintain ongoing communication. Quality Assurance: Ensure project delivery meets high standards, troubleshoot with pilot partners, and track project deliverables. Technical Implementation: Manage technical implementation plans across projects, coordinate field visits, and support financial forecasting and budget development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business. 5+ years of experience in project management, with a strong understanding of formal methodologies. Experience in the utility industry, with a preference for prior experience. Project controls/budgeting experience, particularly with SAP. Lean process and lean operating model experience. Lean Certification is a significant plus. Proven ability to work independently, proactively, and with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working cross-functionally with different departments. Desired Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience working with grants or federal funding in a regulatory environment (e.g., bio/pharma, government).
