Summary: The Senior Project Manager provides direction and project management to ensure project completion in accordance with contractual obligations. You will define project goals, develop in-depth knowledge of customer objectives, and manage projects within established policies and procedures. This role typically manages complex single projects or multiple similar projects, including small and medium projects or portions of large projects.
Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and documentation, fostering understanding among project participants. Identify and communicate client requirements, manage stakeholders, and resolve issues promptly. Manage Worley/Client contracts, define project scope, and ensure compliance with contract requirements. Implement effective change control processes and monitor project performance. Plan and manage project schedules, resources, and finances, including monitoring costs, forecasting expenditures, and taking proactive measures to avoid overruns. Define project quality requirements, ensure compliance with standards, and oversee design activities. Provide leadership to project teams, foster open communication, and ensure accurate progress reporting to stakeholders. Identify project risks and opportunities, implement mitigation plans, and ensure design compliance with client requirements and regulations. Set objectives for procurement and construction teams, monitor progress, and ensure safe project delivery within budget and schedule. Identify business opportunities aligned with company goals, conduct feasibility studies, and develop strategies for project optimization. Collaborate across functions and manage stakeholder relationships effectively. Key Competencies: Experience in mining projects, including open-pit, underground mining, and material handling. Proven track record in project execution and managing Engineering Feasibility Studies. Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management in project environments. Strong leadership in negotiating complex contracts and maintaining client relationships. Results-oriented with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Ability to make independent decisions, prioritize tasks, and manage cost and schedule impacts. Skilled in stakeholder management, multidisciplinary leadership, and EPC/EPCM project execution. Proficient in applying lessons learned and implementing innovative solutions for continual improvement. Adaptable to changing priorities and proficient in project management methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledgeable in environmental and safety regulations relevant to mining projects. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities. Experience in project proposal development, including strategic pursuit, writing technical proposals, developing execution methodologies, delivering presentations, and contributing to commercial models. What you will bring: Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Typically, 15+ years of project management experience, including 12+ years of relevant supervisory and/or technical experience. 7 years of experience in the mining industry, preferred but not required. 3+ years of experience in EPC/EPCM projects MSHA and PMP knowledge, experience and certification preferred.
