Position Summary: As the Senior Recovery Manager, you will oversee Public Assistance program delivery, ensuring efficient, customer-focused service aligned with client priorities.
You will lead multiple large- and small-scale FEMA disaster response and recovery projects, coordinating remotely and onsite with DCMC teams and subcontractors.
Reports To: Director of Operations Direct Reports: Deputy Project Managers, Lead Specialists, Specialists, Independent Contractors, Subject Matter Experts Key Responsibilities: Project Management Demonstrable problem-solving project management experience and skills, demonstrated by the ability to: Manage complexities.
Make quality and timely decisions and recommendations.
Strong organizational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated by the ability to: Plan and align work and resources.
Lead, coach, and assess project team performance.
Create and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring quality control at all phases.
Oversee program performance and deliver timely reports.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrated by the ability to: Optimize work processes.
Situational adaptability.
Client and Agency Relations Serve as the primary client advisor for the FEMA Public Assistance program-related communications.
Act as the main interface between DCMC, clients, and federal/state/local agencies.
Build trusted relationships across functions and organizations.
Facilitate client meetings and engagement with government agencies.
Business Development Identify and pursue opportunities to expand services to existing and new clients.
Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation and client meetings.
Administrative Leadership Guide program staff in regulatory and procedural knowledge.
Oversee operational processes, including SOP development and strategic planning.
Approve invoices and assist in recruitment and onboarding processes.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree (required); advanced study in relevant fields (preferred) Experience: 10+ years in disaster recovery, with managerial experience; multi-state/regional experience preferred Additional: Remote capability and travel as needed Tech: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and other remote work technologies.
