$10K sign on bonus for eligible new hires with less than 1 year of experience The Senior Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the following:
Performs the more complex imaging examinations while providing a safe environment for patients. Reviews and evaluates requisitions for Diagnostic imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations. Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers. Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy. Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patients' specific needs. Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices ALARA. Follows Departmental QC/Data Integrity Workflow. Practices High Reliability Training. Responds to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family. Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions through the INeedit application. Assists in organizing and maintaining daily operations. Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Modality Manager, Chief Technologist or Assistant Chief Technologist i.e., such as ordering supplies, QA/QC projects, lead inventory, etc. Helps with new departmental /hospital initiatives. Promotes positive morale, teamwork, and willingness to make a significant contribution. Trains fellows, residents, students and staff in imaging procedures and techniques. Acts as a mentor to less experienced staff. Participates in departmental and hospital meetings. Completes all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Complies with ETU. Complies with HIPAA regulations. Practices the 6 core values of the Hospital; excellence, innovation, communication, respect, teamwork and accountability. Furthers professional education and maintains knowledge of current regulations and standards, policies and procedures. Maintains up-to-date licensure/certification/registration in departmental file. The Senior Radiologic Technologist must have the following:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT). Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification.
