What is this role? As aSenior Security Engineer at Cirkul, you will play a pivotal role in fortifying our cyber security and compliance measures. This position is critical in establishing robust systems and evolving them over time, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and enhancing our overall security posture. You will be an integral part of our in-house team, learning and contributing to the development of systems and processes that safeguard our digital assets.

Customer Focus: Prioritize the protection of customer data and ensure that our security measures align with our commitment to customer trust and privacy.
What background should you have? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. 7+ years of proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role in a corporate environment. In-depth knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security frameworks. Experience in implementation of secure software development practices, including code reviews, threat modeling, and security testing. Experience in Identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities in applications, services, and APIs through static and dynamic analysis. Experience with cloud security, network security, and endpoint protection solutions. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS) and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
