Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, focusing on hands-on software development and managing the delivery of complex software projects. The person will also act as a Product Manager for software products.
Essential Duties Responsibilities: Technical Responsibilities: Proficiency in Apache Pulsar, Microsoft Azure, C++, C#, Python, SQL, NOSQL, and .NET ecosystem (Preferred xUnit, Fluent Assertions, Blazor, Playwright, Mocks, TDD). Expertise in the .NET ecosystem and cross-platform development. Expertise in cross-platform server and terminal development using OneImlx.Terminal framework across Windows, Linux, and macOS. Extensive knowledge of distributed messaging systems, network protocols, and data engineering. Actively code, design, document, and serve as a technical liaison for customers. Develop, design, and maintain software for control and communication with mechatronic subsystems. Lead the modernization journey, including upgrading legacy software components. All other duties as required. Project Management Responsibilities: Certifications in SAFe (SAFe Agilist, SAFe Program Consultant), Agile (Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP), and Lean are highly desirable. Lead and manage multiple software development projects. Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution. Implement and advocate for SAFe, Agile, and Lean methodologies. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Conduct status meetings, provide progress updates, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members. All other duties as required. Requirements Requirements, Education Skills: Required: B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field; M.S. preferred. Minimum of 8+ years in software development and project management, with at least 3+ years in a senior role. At least 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in languages such as C#, .NET, Java, Python. Proven experience managing large-scale software development projects using SAFe, Agile, and Lean methodologies. Strong understanding of SDLC and project management tools (e.g., Asana, GitHub Projects, JIRA, Trello, MS Project). Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes at short notice - (10% - 20%). This is an on-site role in our Lake Forest, CA office.
