About the Role The Company is in need of a Senior U.S. Contracts Counsel to take on a pivotal role in managing and overseeing all U.S. contracts for program business. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading a contracts team and will be heavily involved in the full spectrum of contract management, including drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating various contract and policy documentation. This position requires a seasoned professional with a legal background, specifically a licensed attorney with over 10 years' experience, and a deep understanding of the U.S. insurance markets, with a focus on MGA agreements and reinsurance contracts.

Key responsibilities for the Senior U.S. Contracts Counsel at the company include supporting the U.S. program business by managing staffing capacity, reviewing and negotiating documentation for a range of agreements, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The role also involves designing and implementing the contracts process, responding to audit findings, and working closely with global business functions to meet contract requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outwards reinsurance documentation, design of standard contract wordings, and the ability to liaise with various external parties to secure the best outcomes for the company. Keeping abreast of market, legal, and regulatory changes that may impact contracts is essential.
