About the Role The Company is in need of a Senior U.S. Contracts Counsel to take on a pivotal role in managing and overseeing all U.S. contracts for program business. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading a contracts team and will be responsible for the full spectrum of contract-related activities, including drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating contract and policy documentation. This role requires a high level of experience, with a minimum of 10 years as a licensed attorney and at least 15 years within the U.S. insurance markets, specifically with a focus on MGA agreements and reinsurance contracts.

Key responsibilities for the Senior U.S. Contracts Counsel at the company include supporting the U.S. program business by managing staffing capacity, and reviewing and negotiating various agreements with MGAs, TPAs, intermediaries, and reinsurers. The role also involves designing and maintaining the contracts process, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance of all contracts, and staying abreast of market, legal, and regulatory changes that may impact contracts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outwards reinsurance documentation, design of standard contract wordings, and the ability to work cross-functionally to meet the company's contract requirements. Additionally, the Senior U.S. Contracts Counsel will be expected to respond to contract-related audit findings, manage resolutions, and liaise with external parties to secure the best outcomes for the company.
