The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight, development, implementation, and administration of all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Program. This includes conducting quality control reviews, monitoring BSA, USA Patriot Act, AML, OFAC, and Customer Identification Program compliance, and ensuring the operational effectiveness of the Financial Intelligence Unit. The role also involves keeping executive management and the Board of Directors informed of emerging BSA/AML risk issues, as well as supervising and providing guidance on the establishment of controls to mitigate risks.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, or a related discipline, with at least 15 years of related experience in financial services. A minimum of 10 years as a BSA/AML Officer at a mid-size or large financial institution and 10 years of experience in governance, risk management, and compliance are required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large teams, experience with BSA/AML systems such as Actimize, and a strong background in fraud management within banking. Additionally, the role demands a candidate with experience in dealing with regulatory agencies, executive management, and Boards of Directors, and a deep knowledge of association guidelines and applicable regulations. Experience with CAMS is preferred, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with excellent decision-making, communication, and organizational skills is essential.
