About the Role The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President of Accounting with a strong background in real estate, real estate private equity, or REITs. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with financial laws and regulations, and leading the annual budgeting process. This role also involves maintaining a constant awareness of the company's financial position, tracking and forecasting cash flow, and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders. The Sr. VP of Accounting will be expected to provide leadership and mentorship to accounting professionals, as well as to stay abreast of new accounting systems and technology.

Applicants for the Sr. VP of Accounting position at the company should have a Master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, and a CPA is required. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of public accounting experience, with a proven track record of solid leadership skills. Responsibilities include overseeing revenue accounting, creating financial strategic plans and budgets, preparing detailed financial reports, and supporting upper management as needed. The role also involves ad-hoc projects and requires excellent organizational and communication skills. Experience with Yardi is a plus.
