Serving the people of Southwestern Alaska, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Hospital is a 50-bed general acute care medical facility. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, services include adult med/surg, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging.
Position Summary: The Service Desk Technician's role is to ensure proper computer operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes triaging incoming phone calls, prioritizing, documenting, and resolving or escalating end user help requests on all corporate hardware and software. The Service Desk Technician will maintain and log all support calls to the support center database application for call tracking and SLA requirements. Position Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. 1 year experience in general desktop experience with hardware and business applications such as word processing, databases, spreadsheets and operating systems preferred. Valid drivers license or equivalent. An A+ certification is preferred. Personal computer, personal cell phone, personal high-speed internet. A basic understanding of computer technology and terms such as operating systems, hardware, office automation applications, peripheral installations (printers, scanners, monitors, etc.).
