Introduction
We are seeking a Service Operations Project Manager to join our Repair Center team. You will be responsible for Project execution and related customer communication. Projects will range from rotables, retrofits, and equipment repairs delivered to customers that occur within the Metso Service Facility operations. The Project Manager will define scopes of work, ensure timely part(s) deliveries to meet customer expectations, and fulfill contract obligations. The Project Manager is responsible for stakeholder communication and relationship management including customers, suppliers, and internal units.
In this position, you will report to the Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager.
This position is mainly located in Mesa, AZ but, we offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options; however, this position may involve up to 30% of international or domestic travel to customer sites and other internal Metso sites for training/meetings.
What You'll Do: Lead and Manage Projects: Oversee component exchange contracts, inventory consignment contracts, and major repair shop service events, ensuring alignment with Metso's global processes and policies. Deliver Quality: Ensure projects are well-resourced, meet customer expectations, and fulfill contract obligations while achieving targets for safety, quality, schedule, and budget. Collaborate and Coordinate: Work closely with Sales Account Managers and the Proposal Department to coordinate sold projects. Prepare and oversee internal and external kick-off meetings to define project requirements and clarify contractual issues. Innovate and Improve: Liaise with technical support staff to design procedures, special tooling, jigs, and fixtures needed for project execution. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and provide feedback to stakeholders Customer Engagement: Visit customer sites for meetings, equipment evaluations, and coordination, ensuring quality technical support and service. TrackGrowth: Take a leadership role in planning and implementing large and complex projects, making recommendations to improve shop methods and efficiency. Who You Are: Extensive Project Management Expertise: Leverage your rich experience in project management, complemented by a solid technical background. Experience in the mining industry is a significant advantage, positioning you as an important contributor to our team. Technical Proficiency: Experience with SAP and Salesforce is a valuable asset. Ability to understand engineering drawings and a solid grasp of commercial and legal terms and conditions. Leadership and Communication: High leadership skills with a bias for action, high written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to motivate teamwork. Detail-Oriented: High degree of precision and attention to detail, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook). Global Mobility: Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport. Fluent in English, with knowledge of Metso equipment products being beneficial.
