Why your role is essential
We are looking for a skilled metal fabricator with attention to detail and mechanical capabilities. Your job will include running machinery, assembly, and maintaining inventory, among other duties. We have a fully furnished metal shop in house to better serve our customers. We have several press brakes, shears, notching machines, and a CNC router table.
Job Overview: Read and understand complex drawings. Program and operate metal shear Program and operate break press Package sheet metal and labeling packages for shipment Building and assembling insulated back pans Building and assembling composite panels Fabricating cladding for door assembly Clean work areas / Do routine maintenance on machines. Put tools away in proper places. Coordinate duties with door assembly and coworkers Keep track of inventory and inform management when to order more Other duties as assigned Requirements:
Employees at OBE are expected to have regular and predictable attendance, work independently with little direct supervision, aptitude to learn and understand and willingness to cross-train in other areas as required. Lift up to 75 pounds Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently Ability to stand and walk on concrete floor for eight hours or more Ability to wear company-issued PPE such as safety shirt, hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses and hearing protection Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high. Ability to work in varied temperatures Must be at least 18 years old
