Description GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Responsible for packaging material for shipment and ensuring that all labels are accurate based on customer's requirements. Maintains shipment-related records.

Key Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receive shipments, confirms shipments are accurate, and maintain receiving logs. Prepares and reviews for accuracy all bills of lading on shipments. Routes orders to meet the company's and customers' requirements. Tracks and expedites outbound shipments with carriers. Schedules truck line and other carrier pickups and distribution. Maintains records such as (but not limited to) invoices and vendor receipts. Verifies shippers' rates and resolve issues. Processes normal and special shipments. Participates in physical inventories and cycle counts. Performs other related duties as required or assigned. Skills Knowledge and Expertise Skills and Abilities ForkLift Operations (preferred) Basic knowledge of computers Effective verbal and written communication skills Highly self-motivated & willing to learn and develop skills Education and Experience High School diploma or GED equivalent (required). 1 year experience in a shipping department (required). Computer Skills Basic understanding of computer software such as the Microsoft Office suite. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is: Frequently required to stand or walk and to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 50 + pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Benefits
