Location Petoskey, MI ** SHUTTLE/CHAUFFEUR DRIVER**
**Job Description:**
**JOB SUMMARY:** Transports, in a luxury vehicle, top executives, personnel, and visitors to and from destination(s) outlined in promotions. Drives shuttle bus, mini-bus, van, car, or lightweight truck to transport clients, trainees, company personnel or company products. Will have substantial contact with guests while transporting for promotional events and prizes. Performs routine safety check of vehicle at the beginning of each shift and ensure that vehicle is clean at all times, inside and out. Operates vehicles safely and in compliance with all motor vehicle laws and speed limits, ensuring the safety of all passengers and utilization of Odawa Casino Resort standards of service.
****PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:****
* Maintains a professional appearance and attitude.
* Drives passengers to and from pre-selected destination(s) back to casino or hotel as outlined in promotion.
* Drives vehicle from Odawa Casino Resort to assigned Hotels, Motels, Administration buildings, fueling center or other function areas and back to Casino.
* Assists passengers to enter and leave vehicle; looks after passengers baggage if necessary; may assist passengers to carry their baggage.
* Operates radios or similar device to communicate with Casino and other company personnel.
* Operates cell phone only when the vehicle is in park.
* Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
* Keeps records of vehicle condition, trips, fuel and passenger.
* Is aware of continual updates on changes in traffic laws and CDL requirements if transporting 16 passengers or more including the driver.
* Knows all emergency procedures; ensures passenger safety at all times.
* May be required to perform duties of other positions in transportation to cover call-ins and no-shows.
* Responsible for vehicle presentation, keeping car cleaned, polished, and in appropriate operating condition.
* May make minor repairs.
* Performs all other duties as assigned within the scope of work.

**Job Requirements:**
****Minimum Qualifications:****
* Must be 21 years or older.
* Must have a valid Chauffeurs license or Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement with the State of Michigan.
* Must have a good driving record and be insurable through our insurance carrier.
* Must have knowledge of Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) regulations.
* Must have a current, or be able to obtain a DOT medical card and keep it up to date - see department policy Medical DOT Cards.
* Must have excellent verbal communication.
* Good knowledge of local area and roads a must.
* Must be able to work well with the general public and have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact, and respect.
* Must be flexible with shift and days off.
* Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, safety, departmental, and company policies.
* Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission.
* You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
* Must be able to meet Odawa Casino Resort training and education requirements.
* Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment.
* Requires extended periods of sitting and other physical requirements associated with driving a shuttle bus.
* Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
A Team Member who resigns with proper notice may apply for rehire after 3 months from the effective date of their termination.
A Team Member who has their employment terminated by any gaming facility or who resigns without proper notice may be eligible for rehire subject to the following schedule:
* 1st occurrence must wait 6 months from the effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice
* 2nd occurrence must wait one year from the most recent effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice
* Any occurrence beyond the 2nd must wait three years from the most recent effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice
Please note that occurrences do not reset regardless of length of time between them.
A Team Member whose employment is terminated as a result of not being able to return to work upon exhaustion of the Fair Employment Leave will be eligible for rehire without a waiting period once they have been released back to work by a qualified physician.
A Seasonal Team Member whose employment is terminated will be eligible for rehire without a waiting period if they successfully complete their most recent seasonal employment.
Must not be currently on a Security Ban from Odawa Casino during the time of application.
To apply for any Dual Rate positions the applicant must be currently employed and in good standing with OCR.
Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance with the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
