As a key member of the Universal Starting Platform (USP) Engineering Team, you will focus on developing, maintaining, and executing manual and automated test scripts to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our software solutions. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements, create comprehensive test plans, and implement innovative testing strategies. Position DescriptionThe Software QA Analyst will collaborate with the USP Software Developers, Product, UX, BA and Project Managers in ensuring the highest quality of our software products through comprehensive testing strategies and methodologies. This role will be essential in integrating quality assurance perspectives into the software development lifecycle, identifying issues early, and ensuring timely remediation. The Software QA Analyst will consistently stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance the CoverMyMeds QA program. They will contribute to setting strategic QA goals and objectives and will play a pivotal role in driving these to completion, while balancing other priorities and educating stakeholders on the importance of quality assurance in delivering robust software solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworksCollaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverageExecute manual and automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilitiesParticipate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and testabilityDevelop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data to support automated and manual testing effortsConduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that the software meets business requirements and end-user needsMonitor and report on test execution progress, test coverage, and quality metricsContinuously research and implement new testing tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance our QA processesAssist in the evaluation and adoption of new automated testing tools and frameworksEnsure compliance with industry standards and best practices for software quality and securityMinimum RequirementsDegree or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experienceCritical Skills 4+ years of experience as a Software QA Analyst with a focus on automated testingStrong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologiesProficiency with automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Mocha, Playwright JUnit, TestNG, or similarExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExperience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes and methodologiesAdditional Knowledge & Skills Passionate about continuous learning and certification in industry best practicesAbility to work and thrive in a highly creative, collaborative, and dynamic environmentExperience in the healthcare industry preferredKnowledge of the healthcare industry, specifically Electronic Health Records (EHRs), is highly desirableKnowledge of information security practices and standardsWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards.
