Sportfishing Mate/Deckhand/Captain

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Sportfishing mat/Deckhand/Captain to join our team. The mate will assist in the operation and maintenance of vessels, ensuring a safe and efficient maritime experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation and
navigation
of the vessel under the direction of the Captain
- Handle mooring lines and rigging during docking and departing maneuvers
- Perform general maintenance tasks on deck and below deck
- Participate in emergency drills and be prepared to respond to emergencies
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vessel
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and safety procedures
-Have at least 2 years experience in sportfishing and/or commercial fishing
-Understand the topography of the west coast of Puerto Rico
-Understand the functional tasks of commercial and sports fishing
-Must speak English, Spanish is a bonus
Qualifications
- Previous experience (2 years) in a maritime or boating environment is a must
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with rigging procedures is a must
- Strong communication skills to interact with passengers and crew members
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $100.00 - $120.00 per day
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
Schedule:
4 hour shift
8 hour shift
Day shift
Holidays
Monday to Friday
Weekends as needed
