Sr. Lvn, Pre-Admit/Pre-Op - West Valley Surgical Center

Description

The Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse in Pre-operative Admission Testing coordinates and delivers high quality,

patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specif ic requirements of the facility and consistent with the

scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

In collaboration with physicians and other members of the care team, the LVN/LPN provides individualized and

compassionate care to the patients served. The LVN/LPN ensures that the patients are prepared and cleared for

surgery via collection of patient information, communication with physician offices and supervising RN, completion of

patient's medical history, and assembling of the clinical record as well as other related activities. The LVN/LPN serves

as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization's mission/v ision/values to

support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to the overall facility performance.

Qualifications

Current, unencumbered license as vocational or practical nurse in California in accordance with law and redulation-Required

BLS-Required

ACLS-Preferred

PALS-Preferred

Experience in Ambulatory Surgery-Preferred

6+ months clinical experience required

IV certification required
