This position will be responsible for the development and optimization of all packaging materials for the Ready Pac organization. This will include developing innovative packaging formats in conjunction with the sales and marketing teams from concept through implementation, optimization of existing packaging materials to drive value and developing and implementing consistent processes and management of packaging material revisions. The individual in this role will be required to effectively interface cross functionally across the Ready Pac organization (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement etc.) as well as with customers and packaging materials and equipment vendors. It will be necessary to partner with packaging materials vendors to understand their capabilities, challenge their processes for improvement and leverage their capabilities to deliver continuous improvement and innovative solutions.
Minimum Qualifications: BS Degree in Packaging and Materials Sciences. Advanced degree or an MBA is preferred. 7 - 10 years experience in a CPG company (preferably food manufacturing) Multiple roles that have been both plant and corporate based with a strong track record of Packaging Materials Development and Optimization Proficient in MS Office suite (particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint), MS Project. Basic skills or proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus. Strong analytical and problem solving skills required Desired Qualifications:BS Degree in Packaging and Materials Sciences.
