Position Scope: The James is committed to continuously improving the quality of care provided and the highest level of safety to patients as well as the systems supporting research, care and administration. The Sr. Quality Manager will facilitate implementation of Quality Management principles and tools so that optimal quality of care and research amp; the highest level of patient safety and outcomes can be achieved.
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Director, Quality amp; Patient Safety, the Sr. Quality Manager provides facilitation for process improvement initiatives, Quality Management education for managers and team leaders, and project management for priority goals supporting the vision of creating a cancer free world, one person, one discovery at a time.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of five years health care experience Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred or equivalent combination Previous health care Quality Management experience preferred Strong knowledge of Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals Experience using variety of quality tools preferred, including DMAIC and root cause analysis Previous experience with sentinel event amp; FMEA processes preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills required Strong project management experience preferred Strong analytical skills Previous experience with basic statistical analysis required Computer skills, including basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products, electronic mail and the Worldwide Web/ Internet.
