Our El Cerrito, CA location has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Tax Advisor. This individual will be a client-facing member of our Advisor Team and is primarily responsible for tax preparation, tax planning and strategy, top-tier client satisfaction and client retention, and business growth. This is a collaborative, team-oriented environment offering career advancement opportunities. (This position can be a hybrid work schedule after a training period.)
The salary target for this role is $130,000.00 - $140,000.00. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.

Primary Job Functions
Client Relationship Manager Tax-Only Clients, Drives Client Satisfaction and Retention
Educates the ongoing tax strategy process for clients and informs each client on their role in this partnership for day-to-day execution of the plan.
Focuses on satisfaction and retention by ensuring clients are achieving their financial goals and happy with our services.
Prepare and prep for client meetings - present financial performance, transactions details and reports to clients.
Tax Preparation, and Tax Planning Prepare tax returns and related work papers for clients and their related business and legal entities.
The primary focus of this role will be with individual (1040), partnership (1065), S-Corp (1120S), C Corp (1120), Trust (1041), and gift (709) tax returns.
Secondary exposure will include preparation of gift tax (709) and foundation (990) tax returns, along with payroll, sales tax, and foreign asset reporting.
Respond to client-initiated tax questions regarding retirement, sale of assets, and business formation and dissolution.
Review and respond to tax notices.
Respond and work with federal and state auditors.
Amend tax returns.
Proactively identify tax planning opportunities that lead to the development of integrated, comprehensive financial plans (e.g., retirement account recommendations).
Ensures Alignment of Tax Strategies with Investment Clients' Personalized Financial Plans.
Drive Revenue Growth Generate new business and new wallet-share opportunities.
Assist in the development of marketing plans, as permitted by AICPA and state ethics regulations.
Team Collaboration, Efficiency & Excellence Drive a culture of excellence by going above and beyond what is asked for clients, external partners, and internal advisors; live and breathe the values of a high work ethic, impeccable integrity, and positivity, and set a high standard for others to be motivated to reach and exceed.

Continuing education on relevant skills and industry trends Regularly review materials applicable to tax regulation and tax laws.
Remain current on all tax-related software.
Maintain continuing education requirements of professional certifications.
Education/Qualifications A bachelor's degree in finance, Business or Accounting Preferred
2-4 years of CPA firm experience
CPA certified
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Demonstrated industry and product knowledge
Builds/maintains effective relationships with clients
