Job duties will include:
Support payroll, including Review timesheets and correct inaccuracies as it relates to payroll and compliance (e.g., OT, Meals, etc.) Assist in preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax returns Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records Post payroll journal entry in accounting software Post, update and reconcile all employee-related payroll deductions (garnishments, tax levies, child support orders, etc.) Respond to payroll related inquiries from third parties Resolve any payroll issues/questions in a timely and professional manner Conduct all aspects of semi-monthly payroll process as well as payment of taxes and retirement contributions Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses Support AR/AP Ensure compliance and stay up-to-date with all compensation, payroll, and tax regulations Record daily and monthly transactional activity while adhering to GAAP Review and maintain General Ledger Prepare financial schedules and reports as needed Manage month-end close process and information returns (e.g., W-2's, 1099's, etc.) Perform monthly and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and accruals Assist with year-end Compilation, Review or Audit tasks as needed Manage benefits plans, including enrollments, changes, terminations. Ensure proper payroll deductions are processed through the organizations payroll system Qualifications: BS or BA degree in relevant field such as accounting, finance, or business 3+ years of experience in accounting Strong written and oral communication skills Hands-on experience with payroll software Familiarity with excel Strong interpersonal skills Highly detail oriented and accountable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively Strong organization skills with ability to manage concurrent responsibilities Desired Qualifications: Experience with Deltek Who We Are:
