Staff Nurse B-Float - Perioperative Services - University Hospital, Sds And Ross

The Patient Care Coordinator-registered Nurse (PCC-RN) is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising the other members of the patient care team. They are responsible for assessing, prescribing, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients. The
Perioperative PCC-RN delivers care within the scope of the nursing process as reflected in AORN Standards and Recommended Practices and Perioperative Nursing Service Policies and Procedures. The PCC-RN prioritizes patient care. The staff nurse must be competent in technical, interpersonal and cognitive skills required to serve the patient population defined by the scope of service. The Perioperative PCC-RN plans, designs, implements and evaluates systems to prove the quality of perioperative nursing care for the surgical patient. The Perioperative PCC-RN assists the Management Team in the clinical evaluation of professional and paraprofessional perioperative nursing staff. The Perioperative PCC-RN participates in departmental quality assessment and improvement activities, meets hospital continuing education and certification requirements, participates in student teaching activities, upholds Nursing Services philosophy and objectives, contributes to organizational effectiveness, participates in professional nursing organizations and demonstrates professional growth and development. The Perioperative Float PCC- RN works a variable schedule. The Perioperative Float PCC-RN work weekends and holidays on an as needed basis.
Minimum Qualifications
For Hire: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing. Current Ohio Licensure as a registered Nurse.
