Overview:
About the Role As the Staff Product Designer for Core App, you will shape the future of how we engage our diverse member base through the Hinge Health app. You will be responsible for elevating the quality of the user experience across key touchpoints, with a focus on the Home and Library areas, critical starting points for our members to discover and engage with prescribed therapies and recommended content. You will develop a UI framework that effectively prioritizes and personalizes those elements, and partner closely with other product teams across the company to deliver new features and content to our members. You will contribute to the global navigation and top-level surface design of the app as a whole, and youll evolve our design system to extend and unify high quality product design and brand expression throughout the product experience. You will collaborate closely with experienced product design leaders and cross-functional partners, employing user-centered design principles to create intuitive experiences. You will drive the design of the member experience throughout the product development process, from helping to define requirements and translating user research insights into actionable solutions, to interaction and UI design, prototyping, and hi-fi visual design. What You'll Accomplish Create innovative and creative design solutions that turn complexities into elegant, efficient user experiences Be a steward of great product design by ensuring solutions set high visual and interaction design quality standards Define product vision and strategy that creates emotionally engaging and easy to use experiences Lead the development and delivery of solutions that meet intended goals and create outcomes that positively impact key user and business metrics Collaborate with engineers, product managers, care team members, and other designers to ensure designs drive desired UX, business, and technical outcomes Mentor and grow less experienced designers while evangelizing design practices and finding opportunities to elevate confidence in our work across the larger company
Qualificatons:
Basic Qualifications 7+ years of product design experience A portfolio demonstrating: shipment of multiple products successfully; strong expertise in applying interaction design patterns to solve complex workflows, as well as in visual design, information hierarchy, layout, composition, and typography Expert understanding of visual systems and practices, including layout, iconography, typography and have a curiosity and eye for pushing visual design in interfaces forward Experience in leading product design from opportunity development, to concept, to shipment Strong facilitation skills leading groups through idea generation and decision making processes Proven ability to communicate deep design thinking at all levels of the organization Strong prototyping skills at multiple levels of fidelity and experience helping elevate prototyping quality and utilization across your teams in the past The ability to design and document user flows and design components at a system level Fluency with user research practices and ability translate insights into actions Bachelor's or master's degree in interaction design, industrial design, product design, service design, human-computer interaction, or equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications Background in interactive, content-driven consumer products Expertise in motion design and animation Healthcare or Fitness design experience Compensation This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $172,000- $258,000.
