Lake Forest District 115 is seeking Student New Media Production Assistants.
Description: Students will work on Scout Stories projects or Summer Stories Middle School experiences, as assigned by the New Media Instructor. The schedule will vary and responsibilities will be shared.
GENERAL DUTIES: Assist with technology support for projects (i.e. video, sound, editing, supporting student learning etc.). Work with the New Media Instructor to understand and prepare to fulfill the requests and needs associated with each event or project. Communicate with the New Media Instructor regarding issues and/or concerns that occur during events or projects. Check-in and out with the adult supervisor at each event. Submits relevant paperwork associated with job responsibilities in a timely manner. Maintains a safe working environment for stakeholders, materials, equipment, and facilities. May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the New Media Instructor. Applies working knowledge of video and sound equipment. QUALIFICATIONS: Working understanding of audio and visual components. Ability to understand and follow basic oral and written instructions. Follow school regulations and policies in a professional manner. Ability to maintain good working relationships with staff and community members. Ability to communicate to supervisors and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner. The work hours for this position vary by individual reservation assignment. Work Schedule and Hourly Wage: The student worker is paid $14.00/hour for the 23-24 SY.
