Number of positions to fill: 2 - 3
Length of Employment: 2024 - 2025 Academic School Year
Number of Hours Per Week: 9 - 12 (not to be exceed 17 hours when classes are in session and not to exceed 35 hours when there are no classes taking place)
Duties
Assist in Main Office coverage, task may include:
* Greeting incoming guest - including students, faculty, and staff
* Answering office phone as needed
* Checking if faculty and staff are available to meet with guests
* Taking detailed messages or directing the phone call to the appropriate party
* Assist in making copies, scanning, filing, and faxing out documents for all Department Staff and Faculty
* Pick up / deliver mail and other documents throughout the Brooklyn Campus as needed
* Organizing the department (books, documents, restocking shelves and equipment with new supplies, etc.)
* Assist with reports, spreadsheets and enrollment outreach
* Work day shifts that do not overlap with class schedules, or evenings in the event programs are taking place
* Operational assistance with department programs and events.
* Locking all offices and doors and turning off the lights at designated times

Required Job Skills and Abilities
* Perform basic office tasks (answering phones, sending emails, making photo copies, etc.)
* Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook email and calendar, etc.)
* Ability to learn rapidly, interpret, and apply department policies
* Works well independently in the absence of supervision
* Ability to work efficiently with others
* Bending, twisting, and/or lifting/carrying up to 15lbs
* Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
