Position Overview:
AMA Group is looking to fill our 2025 Summer Internship program; there are opportunities within our Los Angeles office. We are looking for Juniors in college who are interested in learning more about building systems design. During this 10-week program you will gain real world experience using AutoCAD and Revit.

Requirements
Role Responsibilities:
As a 2025 Summer Intern you will work with senior engineers on tenant interior and/or core & shell projects. In your role you will:
Design tasks for projects, attend and assist in surveys and/or construction field inspections, along with the review of contractor shop drawings Develop an understanding of system design for tenant interior commercial projects, and/or core and shell base building projects. Intern will also be exposed to National Building codes Assist in the design of mechanical, electrical, or fire protection/plumbing systems based on candidates' field of study Mechanical Engineering Interns will become familiar with HVAC load programs Electrical Engineer Interns will become familiar with electrical load calculations, feeder voltage drops, lighting control design systems, Fire Alarm system design, etc. Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer Interns will assist in Hydraulic calculations for sprinkler system design Education: Actively enrolled in an accredited in Engineering or related program
Experience & Skills: Demonstrated interest in Engineering or Engineering Design Must be familiar with AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel High attention to detail Willingness to learn Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance available internally for this internship.
Salary Range $22 - 24 per hour
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
