Position Details: Grainger's inventory planning team manages over 10 million SKU's and $1 billion in inventory across 500 DC's and branches in North America. We're looking for Co-op students to join our Inventory Optimization and Advanced Analytics team to help us make better decisions across the supply chain. These analytics-based decisions decide where, when and how much inventory is placed to keep customers happy. Below are a few sample projects you could work on: Measure variation in the supply chain and develop solutions to deliver market-leading service levels Build and deploy a prediction model that identifies drivers of excess inventory Forecast supplier purchase order lead times with prediction intervals Create an optimization model that prioritizes what we buy from a supplier, while ensuring the total amount purchased fits within a truckload space constraint Our co-ops are highly collaborative and focused on supporting your growth through impactful projects. The co-op is paid and free housing will be provided near Lake Forest, IL for eligible candidates.
