The Regional Business Director (RBD) is a professional sales management position whose primary objective is the achievement of the annual Sales and Revenue plans for assigned Bausch + Lomb Surgical device, equipment and disposable products. This includes managing the day-to-day performance and productivity of the Surgical Account Managers and Surgical Device Managers. This position will work closely with Practice Development Managers regarding clinic selling opportunities that supports our premium IOL product line. The RBD reports to the Vice President, Sales.
Responsibilities Successfully complete a formal training and certification program for all responsible products in the areas of product knowledge and selling skills.Focus on 1-2 year planning horizon. Goals are designed around meeting yearly targets, but role will also have strategic responsibilities for planning one year into the future.Provide leadership, strategic direction and drive attainment of quarterly annual sales goals for the Americas Surgical Organization and specified Region.Drive day to day business results to include management of regional finances.Recruitment, selection, coaching, training and development of Surgical Account Managers and Device Managers.Analysis of data to develop and implement regional strategies, Plan of Actions (POA) respond to market changes, establish goals and tactics.Work with Marketing organization to develop product marketing plans and successfully implement nationally.Maintain an in-depth knowledge of customers and competition.Work cross-functionally as needed to assist in sales of all B+L products.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in science, business, or a related field.Experience in Ophthalmic and Medical Devices preferred.7+ years successful sales experience or 3+ years of successful sales experience with B+L Surgical.Minimum of 3 years successful sales leadership experience preferred.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to establish priorities to meet goals.Highly motivated and results driven.Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs and sales enablement technologies such as SFDC, Seismic, Power BI, etc.For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $155,000 - $175,000. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives.
