The Opportunity: We're seeking a temporary Sustainability Engineer to join the Operations Sustainability team in El Segundo, California. This role will report to the Manager of Operations Sustainability and will focus on supporting projects related to energy efficiency. The projects will be part of an ongoing renovation at our tower and the fit-out of a new building, as well as ongoing energy efficiency initiatives across the El Segundo campus, which includes five buildings. The position will involve close collaboration with the Global Engineering, Global Security, and El Segundo Facilities teams.
What Your Impact Will Be: Conduct RFI/RFP for HVAC System Redesigns: Manage the request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP) processes for HVAC system redesign projects.Proposals for Retrofitting Buildings: Request proposals for retrofitting existing buildings with window tints to reduce heat load on air conditioning systems.Energy Efficiency Audits: Conduct audits to identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency.RFPs for Energy Efficiency Projects: Manage the RFP process for implementing energy efficiency projects identified through audits.Participation in Global Sustainability Initiatives: Engage in various global sustainability initiatives as needed. Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 1-year prior work experience managing projects in an engineering-related field.
