As a Planner you will:
Schedule Management: Read production, heating, or rolling schedules to determine processing specifications. Process Monitoring: Observe material processing; read gauges, clocks, and automatic recorders; record and compare information with schedules to ensure compliance with processing specifications. Deviation Reporting: Inform supervisors of deviations from processing instructions; document problems, procedures, and production. Report Writing: Write reports describing processing delays and deviations. Deviation Review: Review production deviation reports, corrective actions, and root causes of deviations to ensure feedback into the ERP system. Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate cross-functionally for maintenance and repair of machine units and tooling. Die Loading Coordination: Coordinate with management to load dies for the next day's production. Workload Management: Maintain current backlog of workload and escalate deviations from the production schedule with proposed corrective actions. Production Reporting: Report production and employee hours. Schedule Preparation: Prepare daily and weekly production schedules to ensure company targets are achieved. Furnace Management: Complete furnace light-up sheets. Inventory Management: Identify tooling or material shortages and follow up with management. This is a Full-Time 1st Shift Opportunity.
Pay Rate: $21-$34.75
The ideal candidate will have:
Material Knowledge: Familiarity with all types of materials and their characteristics regarding forging. Interpretation Skills: Ability to interpret shop travelers, drawings, and procedures. Document Interpretation: Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Report Writing: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Public Speaking: Skill in speaking effectively before managers or other Company employees. Attendance: Ability to work assigned schedule with minimal absences. Mathematical Skills: Competence in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Algebra and Geometry: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Problem-Solving: Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Instruction Interpretation: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
