WHO YOU ARE
Explore Schools is seeking an eager and confident professional to serve as a Talent Manager on the network Recruitment/HR team. Reporting to the Managing Director of Talent, the Talent Manager will be responsible for general HR administration, recruitment support, and supporting new initiatives of the team. The ideal candidate has at least three years of talent experience within the education sector, outstanding interpersonal skills, a genuine enthusiasm for systems creation, and, most important, a passion for mission-driven work in partnership and service of our school communities.

The Talent Manager will work collaboratively with other Talent Team members and with leadership and staff across Explore Schools to provide an exceptional experience for candidates and employees throughout the employee life cycle. You will help to identify, attract, and retain diverse, high-quality candidates for our schools and network. Additionally, you are/possess the following:
Strategy Support the creation of a long-term strategy to support the candidate and employee experience Advise on best practices to achieve excellent results while maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal employment law. Selection Continue to evaluate and adopt hiring practices that stamp equity, cultural competence, and equity as key priorities for the organization Support hiring managers by coordinating a smooth, tailored recruitment process from identification of qualified applicants through all steps leading to a hiring decision Build authentic partnerships with hiring managers and selection committee members to ensure alignment of the recruitment process with requirements of the role Outreach Work with the Director of Talent Acquisition to develop innovative strategies for researching and cultivating a diverse pool of candidates Build the brand of Explore Schools by creating and strategically sharing marketing materials Design and manage targeted outreach strategies with the goal of finding great staff across instruction, culture, leadership, and operations Plan and attend local, regional career fairs, and virtual career fairs in addition to other recruitment-related events Conduct prospective partner organization research Data and Project Management Support team initiatives and execution on team's strategic priorities Execute and support data tracking, reporting, and analysis Proactively research and learn best practices related to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the talent space Support with team operations and logistics including management of trackers, data tools, and knowledge management systems Administration Oversee and execute the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a quality introduction to the organization and increase retention Oversee and execute the offboarding processing for transitioning staff members to better understand our attrition data and make recommendations for improvements Manage day-to-day employee requests such as Verifications of Employment Support with semi-monthly payroll and other compensation requests Provide general support to the Managing Director of Talent and the Talent Directors, and engage on select projects with increasing responsibility at their request BENEFITS AND PERKS

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Explore Schools staff members receive a competitive salary, paid time off including network shutdown days, considerable matching of retirement contributions, and more. The salary range for the incoming Talent Manager is $65,000 to $80,000. This is our good faith range at the time of posting. Incoming salaries are determined based on experience and internal equity. Because we value staff members staying in their roles over time, we do not currently cap salary ranges and this is the range for incoming staff members only. This is base salary and does not include additional compensation opportunities, such as signing bonuses, additional time worked pay, stipends, leadership opportunities, and additional pay for specialized certifications and advanced degrees. Explore Schools is a network of 6 charter schools located in Canarsie, Crown Heights, and Flatbush communities of Brooklyn, NY. Our schools are currently operating fully in-person. For this position: In-person work is required. This is an exempt position and is not eligible for overtime. The standard work week is 45 hours, though at times you may work more.
