JOB OVERVIEW
The Analyst is responsible for supporting the Director, Tax with tax-related tasks including research of state and local taxes, preparation of various calculations, and assistance with monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reports for review and submission. This employee will assist the Director with research on various tax matters requested by the Project Finance, Sales, Development and Corporate Finance teams. External and internal communication and collaboration will be a critical part of the role. This employee will also be asked to perform various ad-hoc tasks to support the team. The ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize are essential qualifications. This role may evolve based on company growth and operational needs.
JOB LOCATION AND REPORTING TO
This position will be remote. The Analyst, Tax reports directly to the Director, Tax. This position works closely with the Project Finance, Sales, Development, and Corporate Finance teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with preparation of compliance reporting with state and local taxes including but not limited to property taxes, PILOT programs, sales & use tax, excise tax, franchise tax and income tax Participate in discussions and negotiations regarding payments in lieu of taxes (PILOT) agreements Develop relationships with external consultants and third parties who prepare income tax returns or other contracted professional services Monitor deadlines and deliverables to Tax Equity partners Prepare answers to tax-related questions from internal and external parties Aid other team members with various ad-hoc requests Provide on-going insight on tax savings optimization and internal process efficiency QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, Master's degree and/or CPA is a plus, but not required 0 to 3 years of experience in a tax-related field Desire to work in the renewable energy field including solar, storage, and electric vehicle charging, experience in renewable energy industry is a plus Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English Knowledge of partnership and corporate income tax returns as well as state and local tax filings Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment Strong organizational skills Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, Sage Intacct is a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is primarily sedentary in nature and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk in front of a computer. Though the Corporate Finance Department believes in long term work/life balance, we also believe in short term imbalances. Long hours will be needed from time to time as dictated by reporting and other deadlines.
