We are seeking a Tax Intern who has an entrepreneurial spirit and is passionate about the accounting industry. Our Tax Intern will be responsible for identifying and resolving technical tax issues, researching, and supporting various tax projects, and carrying out other projects as assigned. It is critical to be able to work well in a team environment and be able to give and receive coaching.

What you will do: Gain exposure to complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities, including C-corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, individual income, gift tax, and estate tax returnsUnderstand the tax return process with a high degree of accuracyResearch and consult on various tax matters; utilize tax-related software to research tax mattersProvide or assist with accounting services including bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, etc.Support the office in maintaining and enhancing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of each client's business and financesCollaborate with the broader team of interns across Platform, gaining insight on best practices and procedures What we look for: Someone interested in pursuing their career in the Public Accounting IndustryA demonstrated level of high performance in academics and extra-curricular activitiesAbility to give and receive constructive feedbackFlexibility to work additional hours as neededAbility to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage responsibilities in a team environmentHigh level proficiency with office technology and softwareStrong technical skills in accounting and tax What we offer: Opportunity for advancement within a rapidly growing professional services firmOngoing informal and formal training and developmentAbility to work across a wide variety of clienteleCompetitive hourly compensation rate
