Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Tax Manager: Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns. Tax Planning: Research and strategize on tax planning opportunities to minimize liabilities and risks. Compliance Oversight: Ensure full compliance with tax laws and regulations. Tax Provisions: Review and manage tax provisions for financial statements. Tax Advisory: Provide internal tax advisory services and communicate strategies to management. Audit Management: Coordinate and manage tax audits. Ledger Maintenance: Maintain tax balances on the general ledger. Qualifications for the Tax Manager: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred). Experience: 8-10 years of experience in Tax Accounting; 5 years in a Tax Manager or Public Accountant role. Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of the US tax code, compliance, and procedures. Skills: Strong experience with tax planning, risk analysis, strategy, and project management.
