MANDATORY REQUIREMENT
**OCCUPATIONAL MANAGEMENT LICENSE ISSUED BY THE PR DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IS REQUIRED**
General:
Must maintain records, have contact with the grow sites, embrace patient education and understand marketing.
Responsible for keeping up with all changes in local and state law regarding operation of the facility.
Ensure that only the best and safest quality medicine is available at the dispensary.
Responsible for greeting patients, orienting them about strains and use, methods of delivery and dosage.
Must know how each strain works to alleviate the different debilitating illnesses for which the cannabis was recommended.
Must be aware of the difference of Indica, Sativa and their hybrids.
Will maintain records of effectiveness of the strain for the patient for long-term study and future reference and maintain the dispensary legitimacy.
Should be personable, groomed and knowledgeable about the industry.
They should attend formal Budtending Seminars or Schooling.
Manager functions:
Open and close dispensary daily according to schedule.
Check daily inventory.
Fill products as needed.
Make orders if a product is necessary.
Enter product data when receiving merchandise.
Weigh and record quantity of products received.
Maintain purchase history in identified files.
Coordinate appointments with different required services.
Make inventory of batches of flowers every Saturday, archive results.
Process invoices and request equipment.
Verify daily deposit and search for change.
Customer service for NEW Patients
Receive patient in the lobby area.
Must receive the patient with a cordial greeting and present himself with his name.
Ask if it's the first time visiting us.
If yes, request their Medical Cannabis ID Patient card issue by the Health Department of PR.
Verify that the card it's valid and request a photo ID like the driver's license or any other valid identification to be able to double check the basic information of the patient.
Request the medical recommendation; verify eligibility for the flower (punch approved by the health department).
Provide the FMC forms for new patients and instruct the patient how to complete down the information, read and sign the HIPAA Compliance Patient Consent Form and the Dispensary Code of Conduct.
Scan documents (patient license, second identification and its recommendation to the BIOTRACK THC tracking program).
Print copies of documents and place them in the patient's folder.
Complete all the required information in the BIOTRACK THC tracking system and give it a "check-in" or register it.
Proceed to accompany the patient to the dispensing area where the authorized patient can observe different products to choose.
Orienting the patient about strains and use, different products, and dosage.
Customer service for Old Patients
If the patient is a PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED one, proceed to select it in the Biotrack THC program and give it a "check-in" or register it.
Verify if their ID it's still valid and check the doctor's recommendation, then verify if the patient is authorized to buy cannabis in the form of a flower.
Proceed to accompany the patient to the dispensing area where the authorized patient can observe different products to choose.
Must use gloves when dispensing the cannabis flower.
After the patient selects his product, the employee must print a label with his name and information about the product. It must be affixed to the packaging.
At the moment of completing the transaction, the dispensing technician must ensure that they have selected the correct products before charging.
Proceed to charge and verify that the cash received its accurate with the transaction.
After finishing the patient, the dispensary technician must accompany the patient to the door as a courtesy sample.
File documents after completing a visit in the patient file area. (Verify that you have all the correct information before it is archived **)
How to answer calls
The dispensary technician should answer the telephone with a friendly tone, you must identify which dispensary is calling accompanied by your name.
If the patient is interested in making an order via telephone, he or she must be a registered patient to the dispensary beforehand.
No patient information will be given via phone.
Additional functions:
Keep dispensing area clean and always collected.
Keep all area of the dispensary clean like bathrooms, office, halls, etc.
Locate cannabis products in the showcases in an organized manner.
Make a daily inventory of the products located in the dispensing area.
Count the cash register and withdraw the sales of the day.
Make any function delegated by the Dispensary Manager.
Available to travel to other Dispensaries if necessary.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree on Business Administration or related area.
Prefer 2 or more years of experience in a healthcare company and leadership role.
Experience in customer service preferred in the health industry.
Basic knowledge of the cannabis plant uses and recommendations.
Knowledge in record keeping and HIPAA Law.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to use computers for work order processing, e-mail communication.
Must possess a high level of accuracy and neatness.
Basic knowledge of English language reading and speaking.
Willing to help out in other areas if necessary.
Have ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
