Job Title: Technician
Reports to: Service Manager
Job Description:
Repair and overhaul automobiles, vans, trucks and other automotive vehicles. Examine vehicle and discuss with customer, service advisor, or service manager the nature and extent of damage or malfunction. Plan work procedure using charts, technical manuals, diagnostic equipment and experience. Remove, disassemble, inspect, repairs and replace units such as engines, transmissions and differentials as required. Rewire ignition systems, lights and instrumental panels. Reline and adjust brakes, aligns front ends and repair or replace shock absorbers. Replace and adjust headlights and installs and repairs accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors and windshield wipers. Works in a cooperative and professional manner with all personnel. Conform to the company's policy on non-discrimination and harassment. Greet all members of the public in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner and maintain a professional demeanor while on the job. Road tests vehicles as needed before and/or after repair. Properly uses all personal protective equipment. Treats members of the public in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner, and maintains a professional demeanor while on the job. Never use profanity. Adheres to the dealership's sexual harassment/non-discrimination policies and the other policies in the dealership handbook. Maintain ongoing compliancy with Car Pros Policies and Procedures via Compli. Follow Car Pros standards regarding dress code/uniforms. Performs other tasks as assigned

Move new or used vehicles for customers
Demonstrate new or used vehicles to potential customers.
New and used car repositioning on sales lots as required for display.

Possible Chemical Exposure as Regular Part of Job: Numerous chemical products are handled on a frequent basis as a normal part of this job. In order to recognize and protect him/herself from chemicals in the work place the employee will: Attend training in company's hazard communication program (workers' right to know). Utilize chemical inventory list. Utilize material safety data sheet (MSDS) file. Utilize required personal protective equipment at all times.
