Role Overview :

This entry-level engineering position provides optimal support to customers and distributors and enhances sales growth by improving customer satisfaction. Provide technical phone and email support to customers regarding Bimba enterprise-wide products. Apply knowledge of cataloged products, technical design and product use in order to assist customers in the application of enterprise-wide products. Primary focus is to provide price quotations for non-standard (Special) products. Applies advanced skills in area of specialization. May adapt procedures and techniques to meet special needs. Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only complex issues to a higher level. Works under minimal supervision. May periodically assist in the training of lower level employees.

Key Responsibilities :

Primary Responsibility is to satisfy any customer/distributor requests for quote received at Bimba, across all product lines. Primary deliverable will be final quotations sent to distribution or to other sister site companies within Bimba/Norgren.

Additional (Secondary) Responsiblities may include:
Provide Technical Assistance to Customers/Distributors: requiring research or practical experience of product or application. New and Maintenance: requiring the ability to carry out requests that will initiate or alter previously documented items such as taking and maintaining orders and understanding the impact and initiating order changes. Informational: requiring research and understanding of readily accessible information such as in catalogs, ATP, delivery. Perform other related duties as assigned. These other related duties may include: Technical: author technical bulletins; develop market information for product improvement, new product opportunities, etc. Author and maintain deviation schedules. Maintenance: Updating quotations, summary/trend analysis work such as sample effectiveness and quote summary; returned goods processing. Informational: including gathering of information to enter into the customer database. Communications: Performs sales presentations as required, including active participation as an instructor at Bimba seminars and/or participant in customer/distributor product presentations. Critical Competencies for Success: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology. Degree must include completed coursework in electronics or electric theory. A bachelor's degree may be substituted with an associate degree in a technical field that included coursework in engineering and electronics, and three years of related technical customer support work experience. Stong communication skills, including verbal and written communication in a problem solving context. What IMI Can Offer You
