Purpose Contributes to the overall success ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the teams business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Perform infrastructure applications tools to ensure operational risk to prevent service outages and monetary impact to the bank. Play a vital role in system recovery; expedient service restoration; scheduled maintenance on weekends and as well, data security & code promotions activities. Provide technical support to various user groups and/or acts as a liaison between various competing interests in the timely processing and completion of high-profile project implementations. Exceed user expectations pertaining to the delivery of critical processing through the provision of first-line technical support activities. Understand how the Banks risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabanks Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment Education / Experience Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills to ensure incidents/problems are understood and documented accordingly. - Must 6 months of hands-on technical working experience in an IT operations-based environment such as IBMs Robot console (formerly known as AS/400 or i5/OS). - Must Knowledge of monitoring tools like IBMs and ServiceNow - Must Experience in the use of vendor applications such as Document Communication Management, Post Edge and Host OnDemand Nice to have You can function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Nice to have Adaptability to change process/procedure to accommodate our customers while focusing on risk mitigation and customer service. Nice to have Project management skills and experience to write business case for projects Nice to have Experience using Oracle People Soft for invoice processing Nice to have Organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple problems from simple to complex concurrently. Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or in a related field. Nice to have
