You'll be a fit for this job if you have:
· Associate's degree (A. D.) in Electronics or Instrumentation (preferred).
· One year or more of related experience in steam sterilization area.
In this position you'll:
· Repairs and maintains sterilization machinery and mechanical equipment such as sterilization vessels, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, soldering, pumps systems, and all related equipment.
· Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
· Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
· Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
· Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts.
· Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
· Lubricates and cleans parts.
· Starts devices to test their performance.
· Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
· Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
· Repairs electrical equipment.
· Perform calibrations to instruments and trouble shoots control panel area.
· Fill out all documentation at sterilized vessels assuring the compliance with FDA, cGMP's, cGDP's, JIB's, and other internal and external regulations.
· Fill out all the reports on a timely basis as requested by the immediate supervisor (eg. weekly reports, monthly reports, annually reports).
· Assist and support at the preventive maintenance of all the sterilization equipment.
