Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Position Summary
Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing ultrasound exams, demonstrates proficiency in cross sectional anatomy as it pertains to ultrasound and recognizes the significance of all structures visualized on the ultrasound unit and differentiates artifacts from normal or pathological processes in a timely matter.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Education Required
• Must complete in-house orientation program
• Graduate of an A.M.A. accredited school of ultrasound.
• High School diploma or GED preferred
Experience And Skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Speaks, reads and writes English
• Ultrasound skills in general diagnostic, OB/GYN, vascular, pediatric, and GU.
• Breast Ultrasound experience is a plus
License/Certifications
• R.D.M.S is required and/or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

• Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.
• Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
• Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
• Medium work: Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, &/or up to 30 lbs. of force frequently, &/ or up 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Repetitive motion: Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, or fingers.
