Temporary Assignment - Calender Operator

The responsibilities of the Calender Operator include but are not limited to:
Operation of the calender machine to produce filmOperation of a 2-roll millOperation of a roll winder to roll up filmUse scales and labeling equipmentOperate a stand-up and sit-down forkliftStart/shut down of lineBag, label, and palletize product Requirements Must have manufacturing/machine operator experienceHigh School Diploma or GED preferredForklift experienceBasic computer skills to enter production data into ERP systemGood written and verbal communication skills Use of mathematical skills with the ability to apply it to weights and measurementsShould possess mechanical aptitude, problem solving and basic decision-making skillsMust be able to work overtime, including weekends as neededAbility to work safely, following established safety guidelinesManual dexterity to operate small hand toolsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standardsMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbsAbility to stand for extended periods of time Hours: 1st shift (6:45am - 3pm.). Must be flexible to work up to 12 hours shifts as needed (7am - 7pm and/or 3am - 3pm)

Compensation: $22.30 per hour

This is a temporary assignment expected to last through October 2024. Candidate will be referred to staffing agency.
