For more information, visit www.Legends.net and follow us on Twitter and Instagram @TheLegendsWay.THE ROLEThe Ticketing & Fundraising Specialist is primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals around the season, group, premium ticket, donation, and hospitality packages for Maryland Athletics. This person should be a self-motivated and positive professional. This position is responsible for engaging, servicing and soliciting existing Maryland Athletics donors and ticket holders, while also identifying new prospective donors. This position will be focused on building relationships, servicing all Maryland supporters, driving revenue for Maryland Athletics, and being a positive steward and representative of Legends and the University of Maryland. The Ticketing & Fundraising Specialist will work under the direction and guidance of the Director, Sales, Service, & Retention.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The candidate will be responsible for offering a full menu of seating opportunities for Maryland Football, Men's Basketball, and all other ticketed sports.Coordinate and execute sales calls on all potential customers through prospecting, cold callings, and referrals from current customers.Identify and manage a portfolio of new prospects and existing donors to provide excellent customer service and drive revenue through the sales of ticket and donation offerings.Identify and evaluate potential donors; design and implement prospect cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to meet monthly and annual goals.Using phone and in-person outreach, you will cultivate our donors' relationship with Maryland, solicit their support of university priorities, and steward their generosity.Effectively use Salesforce CRM to accurately record all client and prospectParticipate and contribute in weekly sales meetings and trainingWork in conjunction with Maryland Athletic Department team members to promote and generate sales on all events while providing a great fan experience.Assist with any administrative ticketAssist with any special projects or duties as assigned by Director, Sales, Service, &Entertain and nurture relationships with current donors and prospects through creative means including but not limited to: networking events, speaking engagements, prospect sampling at games, seat visits at games, open houses at stadium, and outside meetingsMust be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, events and game daysThe candidate will be accountable for certain levels of activity (calls made/appointments set) and goalsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree or equivalent1-2 years sales experience is preferredExcellent professional verbal and written communication skillsMaintain a professional image and positive attitudeServe as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries that come in through inbound phone calls, email, and social media.Set and conduct in stadium, arena and out of the office salesEffectively use Salesforce CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospectReach and exceed individual and team sales revenueAssist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members and donorsProspect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by partner organizationAbility to handle heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emailsCandidate should possess excellent time management and organizational skillsCandidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the bestAbility to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communication with C- level clientsCOMPENSATIONCompetitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.WORKING CONDITIONSLocation: On-SiteThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
