With over 40 years of experience in Real Estate Law, McCabe, Weisberg & Conway, LLC has an immediate opening for a full time a Title Reviewer in our Laurel, MD office. We are a fast- paced, mid-sized law firm representing mortgage lenders, banks and financial institutions in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, DC, Virginia and Florida.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Analyze Title Reports and summarize items required to clear for MD, DC and VA.
Review to confirm that the legal description is valid
Verify parties in the chain of title to determine if vesting deed is correct
Determine conditions required to obtain clear title through a foreclosure, deed in lieu, tax sale or other conveyance
Examine security deeds, liens, judgments, easements, plats, tax maps and surveys to verify legal description, ownership, restrictions, or conformity to requirements
Prepare documentation of review and correspondence to transmit same with requirements to clear title to Vendor and Clients
Initiate and follow-up on title-issue resolution with Vendors, Attorneys and Clients
Work closely with the title curative staff
Update internal system as well as multiple client systems
We are looking for team members who possess professional written and communication skills, strong word-processing and proofreading skills, and a willingness to work meticulously to ensure the quality of your work. This position requires a minimum high school diploma or the equivalent and at least 2 years' experience reviewing MD, VA or DC property titles and/or Title Curative experience. Candidates need to be familiar with: title insurance commitment, policy format and all procedures required to prepare including abstracting, title examinations/review, post-closing, etc. A working knowledge of the foreclosure processes and legal documents as well as the effect on title to real property, is a plus.

Compensation: Negotiable based on experience - non – exempt + benefits, 401K and paid time off
