**Transportation Construction Inspector**

+ Perform construction administration and inspection services for the state, county, and local roadway and bridge projects and municipal utility or infrastructure projects.
+ Complete and maintain records of field observations, including daily reports outlining the work performed, as well as field measurements and computations for the quantity of completed work eligible for payment
+ Review the contractors schedule
+ Labor compliance
+ Coordinate 3rd party special material testing inspections
+ Review and provide input on potential change order issues
+ Maintain project records
+ Manage project photographic records
+ Verification of field surveys
+ Maintain a daily report of all work site activities
+ Other duties as assigned
**Required Qualifications & Education**
+ Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field experience
+ In lieu of a degree, the candidate must have a least 5 years of construction related experience (experience with ODOT or Ohio Turnpike)
+ Experience with transportation construction means/methods such as Concrete construction, site excavation, and grading, pipe installation, signage, striping, Hot Mix Asphalt Construction, temporary traffic control.
+ A valid drivers license and compliance with our vehicle policy is required. Candidate must be willing to travel to various Ohio project areas as needed.
+ Different level of construction certifications are preferred however not required (Anser Advisory will assist with getting some certifications if necessary.)
+ o ODOT Certifications
+ * Project Inspector
+ * Project Structures Inspector
+ * Traffic Signal and Lighting Inspector
+ * Soils and Aggregate Inspector
+ o ACI concrete field-testing Technician -Grade I
+ o NICET Highway Construction level II
+ o IMSA Traffic Signal Construction Tech Level II and IMSA Roadway Lighting Tech Level I
+ o NICET Level II Construction materials testing and NICET Level II Geotechnical Engineering Technology-Highway Construction Level II or III
