Qualifications:• 1 year exp required in PCU/Stepdown. Oncology preferred, NOT required - WILL TRAIN• Familiarity with Pyxis medication system required.• BCLS and ACLS certifications required.• 1st time travelers accepted.• EPIC charting exp preferredContract Duration: 26 to 39 weeks with potential for permanent role.Benefits:• Chemo certification assistance provided.• Growth opportunities in oncology nursing.Job Description:• Nurse-to-patient ratios adjusted based on acuity.• Flexibility to float to different units within same specialty.• Regular work schedule of 36 to 40 shifts per week during orientation, then 36 shifts afterward.• Rotating day and night shifts every 4 weeks.• Mandatory availability for alternating weekend shifts.Required Skills:- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.- Knowledge of Rapid Response Teams.- Competency in gastrointestinal care.- Proficient in feeding tube care and management.- Skilled in IV therapy and phlebotomy.- Previous experience with blood product administration.- Understanding of peripheral line care and management.- Proficiency in starting IVs.Preferred Experience:• Previous experience in oncology, specifically in inpatient oncology and/or outpatient chemo infusion center.
RN Focus:• Dedication to full contract term, upskilling, and oncology knowledge expansion.• Willingness to obtain chemo competency.• Access to resources for ONS Chemo certification course.Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
