Travel Ultrasound Technologist - $3,030 Per Week

Certification Details Certification Requirements: ARDMS, BLS Job Details General Ultrasound Tech Needed Shift Start Time: 7am - 5pm (Friday-Monday) Weekend Requirements: Shift would be Friday - Monday On Call: No Years of Experience: At least 2 years in an acute care facility. JOB DUTIES: Performs general diagnostic ultrasound examination. Operates Ultrasound equipment to produce the scans. Provides support and training assistance as well as functioning in all aspects of position. Assists the Lead and Department in maintenance of equipment and QA/QC programs for meeting regulatory and accreditation and re-accreditation. Serves as department liaison. -Functions within department policies and procedures, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Performs examinations in the area of diagnostic ultrasound, including surgical, portable, emergency, trauma and outpatient examinations. Selects and operates equipment within guidelines of the Hospital and Department of Radiology. Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered; ensures quality images. Obtains patient history, answers questions and explains the procedure. Maintains department facilities, equipment, and materials in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort and safety of patients and staff. Assists physician during performance of examinations. Demonstrates ability to adapt to individual physician routines. Oversees the work of other personnel by training, allocating and monitoring work. Performs work of a similar nature. Provides information and support to patients, physicians, visitors and other personnel within the department and hospital. Maintains effective ethical and interpersonal skills. Prepares, updates and maintains department records, files and reports. Participates in all areas of clerical responsibilities including operation of front reception area as well as film and file rooms. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops. Assists with patient transport as necessary. Accepts flexibility in duty assignments and schedules. Adheres to department and hospital policies and procedures.
