An employer is looking for a TS/SCI Space Defense Systems Engineer on a ground systems program supporting a DOD customer in El Segundo, CA. The Systems Engineer will work closely with the government customer to support space domain awareness capabilities, working with mission partners to protect and defend assets in space. The engineer will track objects in space, collect information about said objects in space, and work to understand the data and disseminate to the proper channels. As a part of the ground operations team/program they will be a part of a team who's mission is to evaluate and modernize existing systems and gather information to protect DOD space assets.
Pay range: $85-$110/hr depending on experience

- Previous SAP access
- Experience at the National Space Defense Center at Schriever or within C-SPOC at Vandenberg
- Master's degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics field
- TS or TS/SCI Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics
- 5-10+ years of experience in space defense systems engineering/ operations
- Experience with any of the following: tracking objects/sensors in space, collecting information about objects in space, orbitology, sensor data, protecting assets in space
- Either a military background or government civilian experience
